Slashdot does know a good story. Slashdot | Daily Digital Updates for Archaeology Site at Luxor. I've bettered my track record at slashdot! My submission got accepted.
Posted by johnvu at January 2, 2003 02:05 AMI'm commenting on my own blog! First time, hope it works. But I have to say, I'm wrong again. Slashdot doesn't know good news when they it. They just rejected me again! This time, I submitted a story about being able to apply to get money back from the huge settlement that was won against music companies for their price-fixing shenanigans. What? Did I hear you're interested to find out where to get your money back? I thought so, it is an interesting story right? BTW, you can get your money back by applying at MusicCDSettlement.com. You just need to answer three simple questions and you could get as much as $20 back. I suspect that Slashdot rejected the story because they didn't want too many people applying for the money, which dilutes the payout per person. If the payout per person gets below $5, then the money goes to no one, except charities (wonder which ones? And how much?). If I don't get my money, do the lawyers who won the lawsuit still get theirs?
